Lucius : Wildewoman
Concept, creative direction and design for indie-pop band, Lucius’s first album, Wildewoman.
For the design of Lucius’s first album, we created an image featuring the artwork of deceased female artist Evelyne Axell, one of the first proto-feminist artists to fully embrace pop art. She was a “wildewoman” of the pop-scene, both a feminist heroine and also a monument to female eroticism for a generation of young women in the 1960s. The project included a custom typeface and merchandise. Lucius has since become a Grammy-nominated indie success and is currently working and touring with Brandi Carlisle.
